As the CEO of M7 Engineering, I lead international marine projects and regulatory surveys, for both U.S. and foreign-flagged vessels.I also deliver project management and technical consulting services for the cruise ship industry, supporting the execution of regulatory and compliance projects across multiple fleets. My work regularly involves adherence to U.S. standards and regulations (including CDC, ADA, and ADEC) and collaboration with major classification societies such as ABS, Bureau Veritas, DNV, and Lloyd’s Register during inspection and verification processes.

Previously, I served as Ship Superintendent for National Geographic Vessels, where I managed all technical operations, inspections, maintenance programs, and engineering teams for two expedition vessels. I also designed and oversaw the construction of two 240-foot Jones Act Expedition vessels built in the United States, providing comprehensive survey and inspection services through every stage of the build. In addition, I contributed to the design and development of two polar-class (ICE PC5) vessels constructed in Norway, expanding my expertise in specialized ship design and cold-environment engineering.

Earlier in my career, I held key positions as Chief Engineer aboard passenger and private vessels, Project Engineer for yacht management companies, and Hydraulic Technician specializing in steering and control systems. These hands-on roles provided me with a deep, practical understanding of vessel systems, performance, and safety, experience that continues to guide my work as a surveyor today.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Institute of Nautical Science, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the University of Washington, and an Associate of Science in Architectural Engineering Drafting from North Seattle College.

Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Italian, I work seamlessly with clients, shipyards, and regulatory bodies around the world, providing tailored survey and project management services for vessels of all sizes and types.

My mission is to combine precision engineering, regulatory expertise, and global maritime experience to provide reliable, objective, and professional marine inspection services that ensure vessel safety, compliance, and value, helping every client make confident, informed decisions.

On a more personal note, I’m not only a marine professional, I’m also a passionate boater myself. I’m the proud owner of a 48-foot power yacht, and whenever I’m not inspecting or surveying vessels for clients, you’ll most likely find me out on the water. Cruising through Puget Sound and exploring the San Juan Islands is one of my greatest joys. There’s nothing quite like the calm of the open water, the sound of the engines running smoothly, and the incredible scenery that makes the Pacific Northwest such a special place to live and work.

Boating isn’t just a hobby for me; it’s part of who I am. It keeps me connected to the very same experiences my clients enjoy and reminds me why maintaining safety, reliability, and performance in every vessel matters so much.
